Manage Projects

Managing a project in PostQode empowers users to control their testing goals, customize environment settings, and ensure data integrity. Note that access to projects requires a registered PostQode account. This helps keep your workspace organized and efficient.

Click on the "Projects" section to view all the projects, edit them, assign users, the total number of Testsuites, owner of the project, and the date on which the project was created.

Projects can be managed with various actions to control their status and availability. The below three options are available:

1. Cloning a Project:

  • Description: Cloning allows the creator to duplicate an existing project, creating a new project with the same data, structure, and settings.
  • Use Case: Ideal for the reusing the project templates, to perform any experiment without making any permanent changes to the original project, or to start creating a new project using the structure of the previous one.
  • Outcome: A new, separate project is created with the same content, allowing modifications without altering the original.

2. Enabling/Disabling a Project:

  • Description: Projects can be enabled or disabled to based on their needs. When disabled, the project is no longer accessible or operational.
  • Use Case: Used to store the completed projects in a organized and accessible way, allowing you to save all the relevant project data for future reference, even if you are no longer working on them.
  • Outcome:
    • Enabled: The project is active, allowing access and modifications.
    • Disabled: The project is inactive, preventing further access or edits, but still recoverable.

3. Deleting a Project:

  • Description: Deleting a project permanently removes it from the system, including all the related data and content.
  • Use Case: Used when a project is no longer needed or irrelevant, freeing up resources and ensures that the obsolete data is removed.
  • Outcome: Projects and their data are permanently erased, offering flexibility for project management and data security.
